Replacement Reed Plates– Instead of buying a new harmonica, you can buy a set of these replacement reed plates when one reed or more goes bad. Depending upon use, diatonics typically last 3 months to a year before reeds fatique and go flat (they sound sour, and it’s not your technique). Keep in mind, a new harmonica may only be $8 to $15 more.
